Say What You Mean & Mean What You Say

Words Have Power
Very young, I learned the power that words have and how we use them can make or break a heart. Words carry weight, and their meaning alters from one person to the next. As a woman, a mother, a survivor, a former Mormon, and a writer, I've wielded words as tools, gifts of love, phrases of destruction, trumpets of warning, balms of healing, bombs of levity, and passing comments or texts that landed like napalm. It's my mission to endeavor to choose words with care, authenticity, and integrity. If I find myself in doubt, I vow to search out the meaning of a word before I spit it out. I commit to you, the world, to use my words and their power with care; may you do likewise. Humanity needs it!
